Описание: Computed tomography during arterial portography (CTAP) has become firmly established as a preoperative diagnostic measure characterized by a high sensitivity for the detection of liver lesions. The disadvantages are invasiveness and a high rate of false-positive results. Iron oxide-enhanced MRI as a non-invasive technique provides a high preoperative diagnostic efficacy, which can replace CTAP in many cases.

In a close cooperation between the universities of Pisa and Frankfurt a detailed text and image collection has been developed and finalized.
