Marina Tsvetaeva ranks with Anna Akhmatova, Osip Mandelstam, and Boris Pasternak as one of Russia's greatest twentieth-century poets. Her keen and ruthless eye observes with compassion and humor--bringing the social, economic, and cultural chaos of the period to life.
