Описание: ITU-R has developed the new methodology for the calculation of radio spectrum requirements in the year 2010 onward for the future development of the 3G mobile radio systems and systems beyond 3G which are now called IMT-Advanced. By using the new methodology, ITU-R has calculated the spectrum requirements for the future development of IMT-2000 and IMT-Advanced in preparation for the WRC-07 (World Radiocommunication Conference 2007) to be held in October-November 2007. In this conference, a set of new spectrum allocation/identification for those systems is to be determined on a global basis. However, since the algorithm for this calculation is implemented only in a tool package as black box, it is difficult to know the internal model and methodology used in the calculation. The proposed book presents a self-contained handbook of the model and methodology used for the spectrum requirement calculation for the IMT-Advanced systems as well as for the previous IMT-2000 systems. Therefore, the reader can learn how the spectrum requirement is calculated for real systems, which prevail worldwide. In addition, it is hoped that the book provides the base camp to develop the further advanced methodology for yet future systems. The contributors to the book are the members of Mobile IT Forum in Japan and the WINNER project group in Europe who themselves actually developed the new methodology as Working Party 8F of the ITU-R.
