Whilst dealing with her own breast cancer, Dr Kathleen Thompson recognised the desperate need for a going through breast cancer guide. All the while she explains what is happening and why. Kathleen looks back on her cancer journey with honesty, humour and compassion, and with the benefit of her medical understanding and knowledge of the system. Later in the book she also explains medical research and how to assess the credibility of the numerous cancer treatment claims, and what we can all do to protect ourselves from cancer.
