Описание: During the 10 years since the last edition of Histopathology of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphomas, based on the updated Kiel classification, our knowledge on malignant lymphomas, especially on extranodal lymphomas, has increased. This volume - Histopathology of Nodal and Extranodal Non-Hodgkin's Lymphomas - is an expanded and completely revised edition, now based on the WHO classification. The parallels to the updated Kiel classification and the REAL classification are indicated. The information is organized in organ-specific chapters, comprising the well-known nodal lymphoma entities as well as all known extranodal lymphomas and the different organ-specific clinico-pathological entities: lymphomas of the spleen, the gastrointestinal tract, the skin, etc. In addition to the morphology, the major immunohistochemical, molecular genetic, and clinical data are included in each chapter.
Описание: Lymphomas classically manifest themselves in the lymph nodes but can also present in other bodily tissues or systems; the organ where exactly they present may make a very great difference to the strategy that should be adopted for their management. This topic has only recently been consistently addressed as an issue on its own, apart from the rest of the lymphomas, and this text is the first to apply modern systems of classification, diagnosis and management. This text is essential reading for hematologic oncologists and hematopathologists.
Описание: Computed Tomography (CT) has recently gained in importance in the imaging of the heart. A basis for the use of CT is provided with articles on normal anatomy as well as anomalies, patient preparation and scanning techniques, and technology and radiation dose reduction strategies. Evaluation of plaques and stenosis, bypass grafts and stents, and myocardial abnormities and ischemia are reviewed. Acute chest pain and congenital heart disease are just two of the other topics included in this issue.
Описание: Imaging of the breast can be one of the most challenging tasks in all of radiology. This title covers the modalities (plain film, multislice CT, MRI, US, and nuclear medicine) and molecular imaging.
Описание: Musculoskeletal injuries are an unfortunate by product of an active population. Therefore imaging of these injuries is essential for the treatment, rehabilitation, and return to play. This issue reviews topics such as pediatric upper and lower extremity injuries, skiing and snow boarding injuries, overhead throwing injuries, and spine injuries.
Описание: Includes subject relevant to neuroradiology that one may expect to encounter in a general emergency radiology practice. This title provides a starting point for learning the fundamentals of emergency neuroradiology and can serve as a reference for those wishing to reinforce their knowledge base.
Описание: The practice of Emergency Radiology has undergone rapid change: as imaging procedures are increasingly performed within short periods of time after the arrival of patients to the emergency room, the expectation for near real-time interpretations (often by subspecialists) has gained popularity. This title deals with this topic.
Описание: Provides a foundation for general radiologists in the imaging of pediatric patients suspected of having cancer. This title reviews imaging for CNS and cardiopulmonary and thoracic tumors; tumors of the liver, spleen, and pancreas; and, pelvic and bone tumors, as well as leukemia and Lymhoma.
Описание: Gives the general radiologist an overview of lung cancer imaging techniques. This title discusses CT screening for lung cancer, and reviews the evaluation and management of indeterminate pulmonary nodules. It examines revised TNM lung cancer staging, as well as the optimal imaging protocols for lung cancer staging (CT, MR and PET).
Описание: Discusses the approaches to PET/CT Imaging. This title reviews the roles of PET/CT in pulmonary masses, GI malignancies, head and neck cancer, lymphoma, soft tissue sarcoma, pancreatic and biliary tree malignancies, malignant melanoma, breast carcinoma, common pediatric malignancies, and bone malignancies.
Описание: Lymphomas, cancers orginating in a type of white blood cell known as a lymphocyte, account for five percent of cancers in the United States. This issue not
only reviews imaging of the various types of lymphoma but also provides a background on clinical aspects and staging criteria. Positron emission tomography has had a great impact on
the diagnosis of lymphoma, and several articles on PET and other molecular imaging modalities are included.
The issue also contains articles on cross-sectional imaging.
