Today's science fiction movies are blessed with obscene budgets and have an army of technicians slaving over the special effects. This book takes a light-hearted (and light-headed) look at those movies, as seen through the eyes of the children who saw them and the actors, directors, producers and writers who made them and some of the political and social events that influenced them.
