Описание: This book covers three aspects 1: Interoperability among database versions 2: Integration of related concepts for performance 3: Creation of Golden Diary in a nutshell by practical examples These intentions have been arisen based on the burning need of database users I have come across throughout my career with roles like PL/SQL developers, Database Administrators, Designers, Data analysts, Performance tuning analysts, Architects, Students, Professors, Interviewees and any DBMS enthusiast or aspirant for oracle certification. Some of these had extensive experience in what they do and have influenced me writing this book. This is an example/research oriented book which will let you navigate between different releases of oracle using alternative approaches to derive similar functionality in different versions of database. For example "Truncate table cascade in 12c and approach prior to 12c" and "Sensitive data masking using REDACTION in 12c and prior to 12c" highlight the intention. Also this book will let you integrate related concepts so that you can ponder over different similar concepts and choose the best option to achieve the best response time and throughput. Examples like "nested loop Join or hash join or parallelism or multi-threading", "Oracle Object CACHE Using Cache or Keep buffer pool or Oracle 12c IN-MEMORY column store " and "Result cache function or deterministic function or PL/SQL collection" highlight the intention. This book will act as a reference guide for learning some very complicated concepts in a simple but precise way which are discussed through various case studies. This will give food for thought while devising mechanism for best possible approach for a database solution given the circumstances. You will learn -Comparative analysis of database features and their usages across Oracle versions -Learn to derive alternate approach for a functionality in different releases of database -Learn related concepts associated with specific challenge -Learn to choose the best approach from the set of related concepts to achieve best result -Familiarize yourself with all concepts with real life example in a nutshell -Learn how to be smart with database and surprise your colleague and boss by your solution The audience of this book would like to cover multiple versions of Oracle and the features it offers. Seeking the best approach for a challenge has not been easy in past as it required a large investment of time and effort to go through the vast amount of documentation. This 270 pages book facilitates that investment, by exploring and churning the vast archives of oracle documentation and producing the output in a nutshell which otherwise readers would need to spend time on.

Описание: Remaking the Wealth of the Nations This book has found out the reasons as to why the wealth of nations differ from each other. Why were the GDP per capita of Canada and the US $43,248.5 and $56,115.7, respectively, in 2015, whereas Mexico was languishing at $9,005 despite sharing common borders? Why is the per capita of Malawi not identical to Luxembourg or the USA? Why did the mountains of macro- and microeconomic studies fail to grow the economy up to expectation? Have the theories of capitalism and communism dissipated into thin air? Should the world think about an alternative option or formula for a better economy? Remaking the Wealth of the Nations has carried out extensive research on different economies, economic theories, and ideas and found out the common causes of economic successes and failures of the economies. Finally, this book has given out appropriate solution through clearly defining and explaining a new formula of artificial productivity to help the economists, leaders, and policy makers remake the economies.

Описание: Activated carbon is simple to operate as an adsorption medium for water, serves as a proactive barrier for contamination, and does not produce by-products from its use. Used in treatment worldwide, activated carbon produces very high-quality water. Its implementation helps utilities gain regulatory compliance and position themselves to meet future requirements. This solutions-oriented book for water treatment providers, engineers, and students covers three major areas of concern.1. Fundamentals of activated carbon adsorption to provide a basic understanding of activated carbon technologies for drinking water treatment.2. Adsorption applications, approaches, and case studies that demonstrate how and where activated carbon has been implemented to solve specific water quality challenges.3. System design and procurement approaches to achieve effectiveness and efficiency in the use of granular activated carbon and powdered activated carbon.
Описание: South Asia Region (SAR) has decreased maternal mortality ratio (MMR) by 65 percent between 1990 and 2013, which was the greatest progress among all world regions. Such achievement implores the question, What made SAR stand out against what is predicted by standard socioeconomic outcomes? Improving Maternal and Reproductive Health in South Asia: Drivers and Enablers identifies the interventions and factors that contributed to reducing MMR and improving maternal and reproductive health (MRH) outcomes in SAR. In this study, the analytical framework assumes that improving MRH outcomes is influenced by a multitude of forces from within and outside the health system and considers factors at the household and community levels, as well as interventions in other sectors and factors in the enabling environment. The analysis is based on a structured literature review of the interventions in SAR countries, relevant international experience, and review of the best available evidence from systematic reviews. The focus of the analysis is mainly on assessing the effectiveness of interventions. The findings from this study indicate that the most effective interventions that prevent maternal mortality are those that address the intra-partum stage - the point where most maternal deaths occur - and include improving skilled birth attendance coverage, increasing institutional delivery rates, and scaling up access to emergency obstetric care. There is also adequate evidence that investing in family planning to increase contraceptive use also played a key role during the inter-partum phase by preventing unwanted pregnancies and thus averting the risk of maternal mortality in SAR countries. Outside the programmatic interventions, the levels of household income, women’s education, and completion of secondary education of girls were also strongly correlated with improved MRH outcomes. Also, there is strong evidence that health financing schemes - both demand and supply side - and conditional cash transfer programs were effective in increasing the uptake of MRH services. The study points out to many other interventions with different degrees of effectiveness. The study also identified four major reasons for why SAR achieved this progress in MMR reduction. The best practices and evidence of what works synthesized in this study provide an important way forward for low- and middle-income countries toward achieving the health-related Sustainable Development Goals.
