She knows firsthand the stresses of helping run a business, attending college, then teaching school, all as wife and mother raising four children. She learned that inner strength and peace of mind come from being in God's presence daily. Her poetry and devotionals are written in a friendly tone. The goal is to make it easy for you, the reader, to feel God's presence and find His strength. This is her second published book. Her first book Nora Mae, a Remarkable, Insignificant Person won the John E. Weaver Excellent Reads Award for Non-Fiction: Biography. Included (on the front cover and in this book) are two original pencil drawings (Old Yellowed Hat and My Shepherd) by illustrator Caulin Schiel. Sixteen-year-old Caulin is Alice Schiel's grandson and is a previous winner in a Christmas card design contest at Jetstream in Houston, Texas.
