Описание:

In Abused, Overused and Meaningless, Kathleen Kush and Chery Jimenez tell true stories taken from their lives and drawn from surveys and interviews with others concerning depression and suicide caused by mental or physical abuse. Some information has been gathered from various print publications, social media posts or other online sources and television media regarding historical and biographical stories. The authors also draw from their personal experiences. Both authors have attempted suicide at least once in their lives. They feel that there are many people who are depressed and afraid to relate their stories because of embarrassment or fear of repercussions. Instead, these people suffer in silence from issues such as depression, PTSD and DID. The authors hope that this book will let those who are suffering know that they are not alone. Their fear can be overcome with nurturing and therapy.

About the Authors

Kathleen Kush was born and raised as Catholic in the northern Midwest. She earned her degree in Human Resource Management at a missionary Baptist University and is now a confirmed Humanist.

Kush and Jim, her significant other, are retired and enjoy living near the Atlantic Ocean.

Always an avid reader and volunteer, Kush is now writing a variety of books, from true life stories to childrens books and magazine and newspaper articles. She has assisted in literacy, including teaching the dyslexic as well as English as a second language to Hispanic immigrants. She has also assisted with many theatrical productions, including tasks such as marketing, box office management and costume design. Eventually she will attempt writing mysteries or psychological thrillers.

Chery Jimenez was raised by her birth mothers sister. She has studied nursing, gerontology, forensics, philosophy, art and paranormal phenomenon and proof. She battles Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Jimenez lived in Mexico for over fourteen years, first in a small fishing village, and then in a very large city, the Capital of Baja. She was a regular contributor to the San Felipe News, a local monthly paper for the American and Canadian population.

Jimenez has begun writing several books: non-fiction, fiction and autobiographical. Without collaborating with Kush, nothing would have been completed. They plan to work together on many future publications of diverse genres.
