Leading to this present compilation of my lyrical versions to familiar tunes, song parodies, snippets, ditties, extemporizings and chants from over the, especially last three, years to form here a rag-a-tag song cycle of sorts, including 14 new pieces. Throughout, Neuschwanstein Castle and its creator, Mad King Ludwig, were much the onspurring light. This Neuschwanstein Castle edition is distinguished in the peculiar photo of Neuschwanstein Castle on the cover (which see) from the satisfactorily completed second edition, which in turn is differentiated from the original first edition (now unpublished) by only the inclusion of the brief stanza about the "vollgrown man" (p. 22). Save the short foreword and the amendments to the preface and copyright page, the text is identical to that of the second edition. *xyxics SYKES-iks]: the quantum mechanics of the here and now.
