These things at times are so difficult to bear that it would only take God that reigns on the throne to help us make it through. Most times when trials are present in our lives no matter the level or severity we tend to seek advice and counsel from others and in those times we just want to be heard.The need to vent and get it out is therapeutic to the mental stability. Then there are those that would rather retreat into an introvert into an introvert cocoon only allowing certain people to know what lies within their thoughts and mental observations.These people hold in their feelings for fear that they will be sabotaged. More than likely, they have been stabbed in the back by an unsuspecting person person pretending to care. They are in fear thinking that all the while people are wolves in sheep's clothing, with itching ears ready to carry the bone back to the bone catcher.Then, there are the people who would rather numb the pain with outward influences such as alcohol, drugs, partying and sex. Thinking that these things will replace the hurt, shame and present irreversible torture. They endure daily destructive behavior that is harmful to their bodies and unhelpful to situations that are already bad to begin with. Numbing the pain will only desensitize you for the moment, but soon the numbing wears off and that same pain is present once again to remind you that it never left in the first place.So, I asked myself where do I stand in the midst of every scenario spoken of. I have experienced many of them myself. Now, I no longer wanted to be guided by those feelings, but only to write. This is where I am free, this is where I want to reside Some of my writing is angry, some of it is happy, but then there are those pieces that encourage me to continue on when I feel like giving up.So, I hope that as you read each piece and find encouragement in every word knowing you are not alone.
