The key to grayscale coloring is to use transparent colors/mediums so that the shading and highlighting can show through. However, over the darker areas, colored pencils such a Prisma Color and other opaque mediums will work wonderfully. Gel pens are great for highlights. This coloring book is not suitable for any wet media such as watercolor or watered down paints of any kind unless you copy the pages onto heavy paper (some printers will accept heavy paper).
