This book wishes to tell the story of Eden, from the beginning--even before Genesis 2 --until the very end of the new heavens and the new earth. It will be a sad story with a happy ending. It is a drama, but not a tragedy, because tragedies always end in a tragical way. It is not a comedy, either, because en route there will be little reason to laugh, except in this sense:
Heaven-throned God breaks out laughing. At first he's amused at their i.e., the God-deniers' and Messiah-defiers'] presumption; then he gets good and angry. Furiously, he shuts them up: "Don't you know there's a King in Zion? A coronation banquet is spread for him on the holy summit" (Ps. 2:4-6 MSG).
To be sure, this "banquet" is not literally in the original text--but what a beautiful way of describing the ultimate Eden "Eat " said the serpent in the first earthly Eden to Eve, and Eve said it to Adam (Gen. 3:1-6). "Take, eat " said Jesus the last night of his earthly life (Matt. 26:26). "Come, buy and eat " the Lord will say in the end, followed by this Edenic promise:
For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off (Isa. 55:1, 12-13 ESV).

Описание:
WHAT IS A THING? WHAT IS THE NATURE OF REALITY?
There are only 26 letters in the alphabet. But with those 26 letters over one million English language words can be formed. There are only 88 notes on a common keyboard. Place those notes at the disposal of trained musicians and their instruments, and Bono or Beethoven will send the soul soaring.
The numbers 0 to 9 are whole numbers. That's all there are - 10 digits. Yet his handful of digits enables numeration to go on into infinity. Science students are intimately acquainted with the Table of Elements. Two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen form water. Without it life ceases.
Fundamentals are indispensable to acquiring knowledge. They are the steel beams within which the entire paradigm of knowledge is constructed. So everyone knows their ABC's, their Do, Re, Mi's and their 1-2-3's. But did you know that hardly anyone can summarize, in order, the sixteen different ways all things (entities) on earth exist?
"What constitutes the unity and diversity of reality?"
In your hands you hold a clear explanation of the 16 different ways in which all things function. Willem Ouweneel, who holds PhD degrees in biology, philosophy, and theology, brilliantly takes the reader, step by step, through what are called the "16 modalities". Willem wrote this book on the assumption that most readers are unfamiliar with what constitutes the divinely structured unity and diversity of reality.
After reading this book, you will have a better understanding and appreciation of creation and the ingenuity of your Creator In the process you will also find the answer to the riddle that has escaped philosophers since the days of Plato and Aristotle.

Описание: he Gospel is Power to Serve. On trial for his life, Jesus said to Pontius Pilate: "You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above" (John 19:11). These words of Jesus tell the Christian a great deal about the nature of the nation state and its relationship to the Kingdom of God, as Willem J. Ouweneel skillfully explains.
Описание: Arij Ouweneel's Resilient Memories Amerindian Cognitive Schemas in Latin American Art takes a cognitive approach to the mediation of collective memory by works of art. In looking at cultural production of Amerindians--the transnational mnemonic community comprised of ind genas, originarios, mestizos, and cholos--Ouweneel argues that cultural memories and identity are not simply the sum total of individuals' expressions of self, but that some cultural artifacts become privileged to inform the heart of the mnemonic community. Ouweneel seeks to identify a series of cognitive schemas as the foundation of an Amerindian Cognitive Unconsciousness as a viable alternative to the Freudian Dynamic Unconscious. Art, then, serves to trigger the cognitive schemas embedded within the Amerindian community and act as the mediator of collective memory.
Exploring works ranging in popularity, from Alfonso Cuar n's Y Tu Mam Tambi n to the paintings of Peruvian artists Claudia Coca and Jorge Miyagui, and from Mexican Zapatistas to hip-hop, Ouweneel details the ways in which artists interact with the embodied memory of the community but also assert their own place within it as crucial, furthering their audiences' understanding of and interaction with existing cultural schemas. In this way, Ouweneel shows that memories must serve the present or they will be forgotten.
