Emotional Eating Workbook: A Complete Guide To Stop Emotional Eating, Binge, Overeating, and Obesity through the proposal of multidisciplinary th, Williams Sara
Menopause is a natural part of aging that usually occurs between 45 and 55 years of age, as a woman's estrogen levels decline.
Menopause is an empowering spiritual and physiological change.
In a wide diversity of ancient cultures from North American to Middle Eastern, African to Aborigine, and European to Icelanders, postmenopausal women are valued for their intuitive wisdom.
Menopause is a natural biological process. Unfortunately, for many women, some uncomfortable and unpleasant symptoms accompany this transition, such as hot flashes, and emotional symptoms of menopause may disrupt your sleep, lower your energy or affect emotional health.
Physicians routinely prescribe hormone replacement therapy for women experiencing premenopausal and menopausal symptoms. The risks and side effects of these hormone replacement drugs can be serious and even deadly.
Fortunately, there are safe alternative methods of effectively treating menopausal symptoms. One of these methods is aromatherapy.
Obesity is a complex disease, which requires an integrated, interdisciplinary approach. At the basis of this pathology, there is often the presence of dysfunctional eating behavior.
Data from the World Health Organization underline that 86% of deaths and 75% of health expenditure in Europe and the USA are caused by chronic diseases, which have as the lowest common denominator 4 main risk factors: smoking, alcohol abuse, poor diet, and physical inactivity.
Food represents a form of self-treatment to alleviate states of melancholy, sadness, anxiety, anger, impotence, insecurity, inadequacy, dissatisfaction.
In this book you will learn:
- Correlations between food and emotions
- Behavior behind emotional eating and binge
- Causes of obesity and related complications
- The importance of a multidisciplinary approach
- The importance of physical activity
The improvement of eating behavior is fundamental for weight loss and for maintaining the results achieved. It should also not be forgotten the fundamental role played by physical activity in the overall psychological well-being. As evidenced by several studies, obesity is often related to low self-esteem and depressive symptoms, and the physical exercise correctly performed is associated with an improvement in the quality of life through multiple mechanisms including the release of endorphins and other neurotransmitters in the brain.

Описание:
Almost everyone would accept that emotion has an important role to play in marketing, but what isn't appreciated is just how significant it is in driving both engagement and decision making.
Today's consumers are bombarded with a vast amount of marketing comms and unsurprisingly, only a minuscule amount of that gets through. On average, we're exposed to 5,000+ brand messages every day, but we're aware of about 86 with only 12 making a lasting impression. So the percentage we engage with is tiny and the percentage that has any effect on us is even smaller, yet marketers expect a huge amount of cognitive reflection to be applied to consuming their brand messages. This just isn't realistic.
There's a limit to how many messages we can give our attention to because attention is a limited resource; we don't have enough neural capacity to pay attention to all that surrounds us, so as the number of media channels and marketing output increases, so does competition over neural capacity for processing. This means that'always on' methods of increasing quantity and frequency of communications could be viewed as simply contributing to the problem by pushing out more 'stuff'.
One thing that may affect our decision making is emotions, and emotions are something we can regulate, this is referred to as emotion regulation. This book aims to investigate to what extent the use of emotion regulation strategies can influence our decision making, and how this process plays out at the neural level.
