Stuck in the house on a rainy Saturday Triston is forced to change his plans of going outside due to the bad weather. With no one to play with and his parents both busy, hes stuck looking out the window dreaming about being outside. However, Triston who clearly has a vivid imagination, takes this time as an opportunity to enjoy a journey of a lifetime. This story helps children understand the importance of using their imagination, and how it fosters mental growth by creating opportunities for trying out new ideas, ways of thinking and problem solving. Students will also have an understanding that weather sometimes causes plans to change.
