Описание: Smooth theory in dimensions 2 and 3.- Standard Theory.- 2D degenerating magnetic Schrцdinger operator.- 2D magnetic Schrцdinger near boundary.- Magnetic Schrцdinger operator: short loops.- Dirac operator with strong magnetic field.
This monograph serves as a much-needed, self-contained reference on the topic of modulation spaces. By gathering together state-of-the-art developments and previously unexplored applications, readers will be motivated to make effective use of this topic in future research. Because modulation spaces have historically only received a cursory treatment, this book will fill a gap in time-frequency analysis literature, and offer readers a convenient and timely resource.
Foundational concepts and definitions in functional, harmonic, and real analysis are reviewed in the first chapter, which is then followed by introducing modulation spaces. The focus then expands to the many valuable applications of modulation spaces, such as linear and multilinear pseudodifferential operators, and dispersive partial differential equations. Because it is almost entirely self-contained, these insights will be accessible to a wide audience of interested readers.
Modulation Spaces will be an ideal reference for researchers in time-frequency analysis and nonlinear partial differential equations. It will also appeal to graduate students and seasoned researchers who seek an introduction to the time-frequency analysis of nonlinear dispersive partial differential equations.
Описание: Non-smooth theory and higher dimensions.- Irregular coefficients in dimensions 2, 3.- Full-rank case.- Non-full-rank case.- 4D-Schrцdinger with degenerating magnetic field.- 4D-Schrцdinger Operator with the strong magnetic field.- Eigenvalue asymptotics for Schrцdinger and dirac operators with the strong magnetic field.- Eigenvalue asymptotics: 2D case.- Eigenvalue asymptotics: 3D case.
Is it possible for two objects to be in two places at once? Can cause and effect happen in reverse? Is time travel possible?
Believe it or not, it is possible: welcome to the Quantum World
Unlike other arguments, however, the real difficulty is not in understanding, but in accepting something completely senseless, precisely in the right meaning of the term: not sensible, that is, contrary to the perception of our senses. You will notice that quantum mechanics is much "easier" than the theory of relativity.
In fact, you could get a child to help you digest certain concepts. The great difficulty does not lie in their complexity, but their absurdity in terms of logic acquired after many years of existence in a world that constantly follows certain rules. The more the brain is free of preconceptions and ingrained notions, the better it is.

Описание: This book describes the direct and inverse problems of the multidimensional Schr?dinger operator with a periodic potential, a topic that is especially important in perturbation theory, constructive determination of spectral invariants and finding the periodic potential from the given Bloch eigenvalues. It provides a detailed derivation of the asymptotic formulas for Bloch eigenvalues and Bloch functions in arbitrary dimensions while constructing and estimating the measure of the iso-energetic surfaces in the high-energy regime. Moreover, it presents a unique method proving the validity of the Bethe–Sommerfeld conjecture for arbitrary dimensions and arbitrary lattices. Using the perturbation theory constructed, it determines the spectral invariants of the multidimensional operator from the given Bloch eigenvalues. Some of these invariants are explicitly expressed by the Fourier coefficients of the potential, making it possible to determine the potential constructively using Bloch eigenvalues as input data. Lastly, the book presents an algorithm for the unique determination of the potential. This updated second edition includes an additional chapter that specifically focuses on lower-dimensional cases, providing the basis for the higher-dimensional considerations of the chapters that follow.
