Описание: This is the first volume of the lectures presented at the Clay Mathematics Institute 2014 Summer School, “Periods and Motives: Feynman amplitudes in the 21st century”, which took place at the Instituto de Ciencias Matem?ticas–ICMAT (Institute of Mathematical Sciences) in Madrid, Spain. It covers the presentations by S. Bloch, by M. Marcolli and by L. Kindler and K. R?lling.The main topics of these lectures are Feynman integrals and ramification theory. On the Feynman integrals side, their relation with Hodge structures and heights as well as their monodromy are explained in Bloch’s lectures. Two constructions of Feynman integrals on configuration spaces are presented in Ceyhan and Marcolli’s notes. On the ramification theory side an introduction to the theory of l -adic sheaves with emphasis on their ramification theory is given. These notes will equip the reader with the necessary background knowledge to read current literature on these subjects.

Описание: The authors develop a theory of $THH$ and $TC$ of Waldhausen categories and prove the analogues of Waldhausen's theorems for $K$-theory. They resolve the longstanding confusion about localization sequences in $THH$ and $TC$, and establish a specialized devissage theorem. As applications, the authors prove conjectures of Hesselholt and Ausoni-Rognes about localization cofiber sequences surrounding $THH(ku)$, and more generally establish a framework for advancing the Rognes program for studying Waldhausen's chromatic filtration on $A(*)$.

It contributes an important new facet to our understanding of relaxation in isolated quantum systems by conclusively demonstrating localization without disorder for the first time, answering a long-standing question in this field. This is achieved by introducing a family of models – intimately related to paradigmatic condensed matter models – and studying their non-equilibrium dynamics through a combination of exact analytical mappings and an array of numerical techniques. This thesis also makes contributions relevant to the theory of quantum chaotic behaviour by calculating novel, and often intractable, entanglement measures and out-of-time-ordered correlators. A concrete and feasible proposal is also made for the experimental realization and dynamical study of the family of models, based on currently available technologies.
