As soon as the Spectator model spread from England to continental Europe and began to be incorporated in French, Dutch and German translations and adaptions, the respective journalistic networks and negotiations regularly exceeded local, regional, and even national boundaries and took on international dimensions. The aim of the monograph is to present the application and practical development of the concept of remediation. Two decades after its original proposal by J.D Bolter and R. Grusin, remediation remains one of the major tools of understanding new media. The authors of this book examine the subject from the perspective of Central and Eastern Europe.
