Описание: It utilizes principles of fuzzy logic, probability theory, and signal processing to develop systems and approaches that are robust in the presence of both noise in the data and variations in properties of materials which are intrinsic to the process of mass production.
Deterministic Numerical Methods for Unstructured-Mesh Neutron Transport Calculation presents the latest deterministic numerical methods for neutron transport equations (NTEs) with complex geometry, which are of great demand in recent years due to the rapid development of advanced nuclear reactor concepts and high-performance computational technologies. This book covers the wellknown methods proposed and used in recent years, not only theoretical modeling but also numerical results.
This book provides readers with a very thorough understanding of unstructured neutron transport calculations and enables them to develop their own computational codes. The fundamentals, numerical discretization methods, algorithms, and numerical results are discussed. Researchers and engineers from utilities and research institutes are provided with examples on how to model an advanced nuclear reactor, which they can then apply to their own research projects and lab settings.

Описание: Forest fires cause ecological, economic, and social damage to various states of the international community. The causes of forest fires are rather varied, but the main factor is human activity in settlements, industrial facilities, objects of transport infrastructure, and intensively developed territories (in other words, anthropogenic load). In turn, storm activity is also a basic reason for forest fires in remote territories. Therefore, scientists across the world have developed methods, approaches, and systems to predict forest fire danger, including the impact of human and storm activity on forested territories. An important and comprehensive point of research is on the complex deterministic-probabilistic approach, which combines mathematical models of forest fuel ignition by various sources of high temperature and probabilistic criteria of forest fire occurrence.
Forest Fire Danger Prediction Using Deterministic-Probabilistic Approach provides a comprehensive approach of forest fire danger prediction using mathematical models of forest fuel with consideration to anthropogenic load, storm activity, and meteorological parameters. Specifically, it uses the deterministic-probabilistic approach to predict forest fire danger and improve forest protection from fires. The chapters will cover various tree types, mathematical models, and solutions for reducing the destructive consequences of forest fires on ecosystems. This book is ideal for professionals and researchers working in the field of forestry, forest fire danger researchers, executives, computer engineers, practitioners, government officials, policymakers, academicians, and students looking for a new system to predict forest fire danger.

Описание: Nonlinear dynamical systems play an important role in a number of disciplines. The physical, biological, economic and even sociological worlds are comprised of com- plex nonlinear systems that cannot be broken down into the behavior of their con- stituents and then reassembled to form the whole. The lack of a superposition principle in such systems has challenged researchers to use a variety of analytic and numerical methods in attempts to understand the interesting nonlinear interactions that occur in the World around us. General relativity is a nonlinear dynamical theory par excellence. Only recently has the nonlinear evolution of the gravitational field described by the theory been tackled through the use of methods used in other disciplines to study the importance of time dependent nonlinearities. The complexity of the equations of general relativity has been (and still remains) a major hurdle in the formulation of concrete mathematical concepts. In the past the imposition of a high degree of symmetry has allowed the construction of exact solutions to the Einstein equations. However, most of those solutions are nonphysical and of those that do have a physical significance, many are often highly idealized or time independent.
