The Neanderthals Are Back: The Beginning is the first of a series of stories about the life of Neanderthals growing up in modern society after two scientists bring them back with the help of some surrogate mothers. This book focuses on the story of the first six Neanderthal babies as they grow up. At first they are raised in the lab in secret and taught by a nursery school teacher. When the children are five and six, the scientists place them with the owners of a group home for children with disabilities.
The stories follow the Neanderthal children as they grow up, go to school, have relationships with other children, go through their teenage years, and start working in unskilled jobs in their early 20s. Along the way they face many challenges, including bullying, romances with humans, and a strike for better working conditions. Some even participate in experiments where they get a genius pill that makes them suddenly smart for a while. Meanwhile, scientists in other areas of the country bring back other Neanderthal kids.
The Beginning features the six children's first years of being born, growing up in the lab, and being introduced to their group home. We also get to know the kids who have very different personalities -- from being a leader to being very friendly and social or being quiet and shy. Then, when one boy goes exploring, this leads to a series of events, resulting in the media discovering the Neanderthals, leading to the question: "What do we do now?"
The book is the beginning of a unique compelling series that raises many issues that might occur should the Neanderthals really be brought back, which could happen.

The New Neanderthals: The Rise of the Gang is the second of a series of stories that build on the story in The Neanderthals Are Back. The book begins after a criminal gang leader learns from the media about the success of a team of Neanderthals who are helping the cops find and capture criminals. He creates a criminal gang of six Neanderthals by obtaining Neanderthals who are part of a workforce developed by the robot company that provided the cops with their team. The gang leader and his associate then train these new recruits to commit crimes, such as robberies and hits for revenge, help criminals escape the police, and undermine the efforts of the New World Neanderthals Force.
The Rise of the Gang describes how this new gang in recruited and trained. Then, they go on their first two assignments. The first is to steal a marijuana shipment from a rival gang. The second is to help the gang leaders collect protection money from store owners. But can the New Neanderthals Gang accomplish these missions successfully? And what happens when they encounter a series of challenges in undertaking both assignments? The Rise of the Gang tells their story.
Future stories in the series describe how the New Neanderthal Gang fares as it undertakes new assignments, has run-ins with the New Neanderthal Force, and encounters new challenges and dangers along the way.

The Neanderthals Return combines the beginnings of three separate books in the return of the Neanderthal series -- The Neanderthals Are Back, The New World Neanderthals: The Rise of the Force, and The Rise of the Gang. These will ultimately be three separate books with ten or more additional chapters in each book. Each chapter features a complete episode as in a TV series, featuring a group of Neanderthals, and each book builds on the previous book in the series
In the first book: The Neanderthals Are Back, a paleontologist working in Germany, brings back some Neanderthal DNA and works with a scientist to bring back six Neanderthals. As part of a secret project, the children grow up initially in a lab with the help of a nursery school teacher, and at five or six, they are placed in a group home for kids with disabilities. Their secret is revealed after an unexpected incident brings in the cops and the media. Other stories in the first book continue as the children grow up, become teens, and then young adults facing the challenge of being different.
The second book The New World Neanderthals: The Rise of the Force, builds on this initial story, when the owner of a robot factory learns about the success of the first group of Neanderthals. He decides to create a workforce of Neanderthals to replace the robots in his factory and shipping facility. When some local detectives hear about this, they recruit six of the Neanderthals to help them find and catch criminals, when the usual law enforcement methods fail. In their first assignment, they track down an escaped convict who has fled into the desert and the mountains beyond it. Later stories feature the team tackling other assignments for the cops.
The third book The New World Neanderthals: The Rise of the Gang builds on this second book after a criminal gang leader learns about the Neanderthals working for the cops. He decides to create a gang of Neanderthals to help his gang commit crimes as well as thwart the efforts of the New Neanderthals Force. The first book in the series describes their initial two assignments. Later stories in the series feature their additional criminal activities and confrontations with the Force.
The Neanderthals Return features the first complete episode in each of these series. These were published separately, and now they are together.

The New Neanderthals: The Rise of the Force is the first of a series of stories that build on the story in The Neanderthals Are Back. The book begins when the owner of a company that uses robots for production and shipping learns about the first group of Neanderthals. The owner enlists the help of two scientists to bring back more Neanderthals through cloning to replace the robots in order to reduce costs. Soon he has a workforce of Neanderthals.
Ten years later, after this operation has been running successfully in secret, some detectives find out about the Neanderthals and they visit the owner with unique proposal. They hope to recruit a team of Neanderthals to help them track down and capture an escaped prisoner who has fled to the desert and mountains. Since prison officials and others in law enforcement have given up on finding the prisoner, the detectives think maybe the Neanderthals can, because they are supposed to be strong, aggressive, have really good vision, and can work well together, such as when out on a hunt.
The new team trains for a few weeks, and once they are ready, the detectives take them to the desert to look for the escaped prisoner. But can the Neanderthals find him, and if they do, can they avoid being shot or killed by a well-armed prisoner? The Rise of the Force tells this story.
Future stories in the series describe how the new Neanderthal force grows and undertakes other missions using low-tech means to help law enforcement capture criminals.

Описание: The story is set in south-western France about 41,000 years ago, and the seasons are just starting to cool. A clan of Neanderthals is living peacefully, unaware that life is about to change dramatically for its Clan members. A scouting party of modern man has left Morocco and travelled through Spain, to reach the Neanderthals' area for the first time. This is a momentous new experience for the Clan members, who call these new people 'Outsiders'. The Outsiders arrive with a strange religion, and this serves to further complicate this encounter. The story is told by one of the Clan females, Ula, who describes what happens to the Clan in the year that follows this encounter, whilst the Outsiders are living in their area. There is a great fight, but some of the Clan members manage to survive. You will be touched by their courage and tenacity, as they rebuild their lives. Definitely expect the unexpected in this story, as the book aims to humanise the Neanderthals and cast aside old cliches and past stigmatisations of them. Readers are invited to consider the uniqueness of the Neanderthals, and they are presented as a loving, intelligent and courageous group of people. The author believes that the Neanderthals deserve our greatest respect, as they managed to survive living in small, isolated clans, sometimes in very harsh climates, for over 200,000 years.
