Is Golf Driving You Crazy?

This Book Will Tell You Why

In order to be a good golfer, you need to understand two things.

You need to understand the game.

And you need to understand yourself.

The game is a simple one; get the ball in the hole as quickly as possible.

It's the second part where most golfers are confused.

A simple game becomes more complicated than it should be because most golfers don't understand how their mind really works.

This misunderstanding is revealed in all the questions golfers have in their heads when they play or practice.

Why do I never play my best golf when I really want to?
Why is it so difficult to fix and improve my golf swing?
Why do I feel so nervous on the first tee ?
Why do I always sabotage myself when I have a good round going?
Why do I enjoy golf one day, but find it frustrating and hard work the next?

Many golf psychology books offer mental strategies and techniques to cope with the apparent pressures of the game and to address how golfers feel on the golf course.

This book is different.

All golfers play better with a clear mind, rather than one which is clouded with doubt, confusion and a list of swing thoughts and 'must dos.'

Discover how you can see past the illusion which leads to all the questions and overthinking, allowing your natural ability and best golf to emerge more often.

Author Interview:

Why did you write this book ?

I played full time golf for the best part of ten years, as a scratch amateur and as a pro on the mini tours.

I quickly discovered that the advice I was being given by sports psychologists and coaches didn't make sense and didn't work.

When I started coaching other people I began to understand why golfers find it so hard to play their best golf when they really want to. This book describes what I learned.

Who is it for ?

Any golfer who is struggling to play as well as they know they can o a regular basis.
Any golfer whose handicap has stopped coming down or is on the way up.
Any golfer who is frustrated with taking lessons and practicing but not improving.
Any golfer who isn't enjoying their golf as much as they used to.

How will it help?

We all play our best golf when we have less on our mind, rather than more.

This book explains how your mind works. When we understand something, we don't need to think about it any more.

Buying this book will allow you to play with more freedom, more clarity of mind and more enjoyment.

The foreword to the book is written by Dr Karl Morris, mental coach to two previous Open Champions.

"It is rare these days that I come across a golf coaching book which holds my attention from start to finish. It is also rare to find a book about the mind written by someone who is genuinely at the 'coal face' of both playing and coaching as opposed to classroom theory.

Sam Jarman has written such a book. It will do what a great book should by challenging your existing beliefs and making you think about the way you either play or coach the game.

It is not more of the same 'positive thinking' and 'affirmation' nonsense but a genuine inquiry about how our mind actually interacts with our body to either make or break our performance.

Do your game and your life a favour by reading this book."

Buy it today and watch your golf go from crazy to calm, from fraught to fun again without grinding or changing your swing.

Описание: In the summer of 1955, early in the modern civil rights era, six African American golfers in Beaumont, Texas, began attacking the Jim Crow caste system when they filed a federal lawsuit for the right to play the municipal golf course. The golfers and their African American lawyers went to federal court and asked a conservative white Republican judge to render a decision that would not only integrate the local golf course but also set precedent for desegregation of other public facilities, as well.In Fair Ways, Beaumont native Robert J. Robertson chronicles three parallel stories that converged in this important case. He tells the story of the plaintiffs—avid golfers who had learned the game while working as caddies and waiters—and their young lawyers, recent graduates from Howard University law school, and the Republican judge just appointed to the bench by President Eisenhower. Would the judge apply the new principles of Brown v. Board of Education to the questions before him? Would he use federal judicial power to override state laws and outlaw local customs?Fair Ways gives an uncommonly vivid picture of racial segregation and the forces that brought about its end. Using public case papers, public records, newspapers, and oral histories, Robertson has recreated the scene in Beaumont on the eve of desegregation, describing in detail the parallel white and black communities that characterized the Jim Crow caste system. Through this account, the forces at work in the South—education, military experience, rising expectations, the NAACP, and the rule of law—are personified dramatically by the golfers, the lawyers, and the judge.
