Описание: In der Reihe Commentaria in Aristotelem Graeca et Byzantina (CAGB) sollen Kommentare sowie weitere griechische Textquellen zur Aristotelesuberlieferung und -rezeption in der Antike und im byzantinischen Mittelalter bis in die Renaissancezeit editorisch erschlossen werden. Diese Grundlagenarbeit soll vor allem das Studium des Nachwirkens und der Weiterbildung der peripatetischen Philosophie fordern und dabei wesentlich zur aktuellen Forschungsdiskussion um die byzantinische Philosophie beitragen. Im Programm der neuen Reihe, die sich thematisch und wissenschaftlich an die von Hermann Diels begundeten Commentaria in Aristotelem Graeca (1882-1909) anschlie?t und diese erganzt, sind u.a. Texte von Alexander von Aphrodisias, Simplikios, Johannes Philoponos, Michael von Ephesos, Nikephoros Blemmydes, Theodoros Metochites, Georgios Scholarios und Bessarion vorgesehen. Die Editionsbande enthalten neben einer uberlieferungsgeschichtlichen Praefatio und einem Text mit kritischem Apparat im Regelfall auch eine Ubersetzung in eine moderne Sprache.
