De kennis en beheersing van de voortplanting processen is de mens ook in de veehouderij gaan gebruiken. Sinds de jaren vijftig van de 20e eeuw is de intensieve veeteelt sterk toegenomen. Ondertussen neemt het aantal kankerziekten toe en is kanker tegenwoordig de belangrijkste oorzaak van chronische ziekten en vroegtijdige sterfte bij ouderen.

Het varken werd vroeger gehouden als voedselreserve voor de koude wintermaanden. Hammen en worsten etc. Wij zijn steeds meer vlees gaan eten zonder groente en fruit. Het thema "kunstmatige voortplanting bij zoogdieren voor verhoging van de vleesproductie" is nog niet eerder zo gebracht. Verduurzaming van de veeteelt gaat zeker niet werken om de opwarming en het verlies aan plant- en diersoorten tegen te gaan. Om het niet alleen bij een onheilsboodschap te laten doe ik voorstellen ten aanzien van meer plantaardige voeding en voor energie transitie in de vorm van chemische bereiding van waterstof voor brandstofcellen. Wat heeft energie transitie met schadelijke gevolgen van sterk toegenomen vleesproductie te maken? Boeren kunnen met een energiecentrale voor warmte en LED-verlichting een nieuwe bestemming aan hun stallen geven. Aardbeien, champignons, paprika, sla, druiven en ananas kunnen nu ook in de winter geproduceerd worden. Bij lokale productie met een groter aanbod en diversiteit van groente en fruit zal de aanvoer over de evenaar ook verminderen.
