R. Pearson's Pasteur, Plagiarist, Imposter, originally published in 1942, serves as the introduction. It details some of the reasons for the rancorous relationship between Louis Pasteur and Antoine Bйchamp. Pearson points out many of the problems in Pasteur's work, and provides details, statistics and evidence to support his case. Some of the frauds which were eventually admitted by the Pasteur Institute are mentioned here.
Ethel Hume's Bйchamp or Pasteur?, originally published in 1923, is the larger work, and provides the main body of evidence, in three parts: 1. The Mystery of Fermentation 2. The Microzymas 3. The Cult of the Microbe
This book is a compelling and thorough account of Pasteur's plagiarism and scientific fraud. It contains the evidence of the false grounds on which the germ theory of disease was elevated to its current status as a dogma, and beyond question. In this forgotten chapter of the history of biology and medicine, we are shown how powerful interests and agendas have prevailed over genuine science. Here are strong reminders of the powers which control the pharmaceutical and regulatory industries to this day.
Hume details the contention between Bйchamp and Pasteur, and presents ample references to the original source material and supporting evidence. No claim is left undocumented or unsupported. Both authors are clearly not fans of Pasteur or his corruption of the principles of science, and they declare their intentions openly. They seek to undo a massive medical and scientific fraud. This new edition of their work is presented with the same intent.
The real facts, which have been suppressed for so long, should be revealed to the world. Modern science needs to return to this bifurcation point, and take the pleomorphic path. When this phenomenon is truly understood, many aspects of modern medical thought will disappear, as do all things which outlive their usefulness. In Bйchamp's work, we can see on display the foundations of the quantum biology and epigenetics which inform the work of such modern researchers as Joe Dispenza, Gregg Braden, and Bruce Lipton.
This is a foundational text of the new biology, and should be required reading for anyone seeking to understand how the body actually functions and heals. This book should be read by every doctor, health professional, nutritionist, and biologist.
"Nothing is lost, nothing is created... everything is transformed. Nothing is the prey of death. Everything is the prey of life." - Antoine Bйchamp
Reviews
"It's strange to realize that the two parts in this book actually were printed way back, respectively in 1923 and 1942, so why has the truth about Pasteur and the vaccination been buried for so long?"
"A very interesting look at two rivals in science. Pasteur, who touts the germ theory of medicine, and Bechamp, who had a broader theory of health and medicine much akin to the current Microbiome theory of medicine."

Описание: Understanding the molecular mechanisms of cancer is the key for transforming cancer medicine. Seen in several cancers is a substantial proportion of human genes showing alternative splicing and mis-regulation of Pre-mRNA splicing.
Post-genomic Approaches in Cancer and Nano Medicine further investigates these matters. The first few chapters provide an update on the role of genomics in understanding alternative splicing and targets in cancer pathogenesis. Advances and prospects in applications of nanotechnology for cancer prevention, detection, and treatment are a promising field of research. The subsequent chapters provide insights on how nanotechnology-based therapeutics are moving toward revolutionizing cancer and infectious disease treatment by minimizing toxicity and facilitating targeted delivery of drugs.
Technical topics discussed in the book include: - Alternative splicing and cancer - Cancer imaging - Nanomaterials in infectious diseases - Nanomedicine in oxidative stress and cancer - Nanoparticle based drug delivery systems

Описание: This book aims to equip readers with modern molecular biology concepts and techniques including genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, metabolomics and systems biology. It will provide students, researchers and lecturers with a core understanding of a newly emerging field that is of relevance to the industrial/academic arenas. As a result, they can create insightful and inventive solutions to common problems, and describe and explore the current field of post-genomic ('omics') technologies.

Описание:
In The Private Science of Louis Pasteur, Gerald Geison has written a controversial biography that finally penetrates the secrecy that has surrounded much of this legendary scientist's laboratory work. Geison uses Pasteur's laboratory notebooks, made available only recently, and his published papers to present a rich and full account of some of the most famous episodes in the history of science and their darker sides--for example, Pasteur's rush to develop the rabies vaccine and the human risks his haste entailed. The discrepancies between the public record and the "private science" of Louis Pasteur tell us as much about the man as they do about the highly competitive and political world he learned to master.
Although experimental ingenuity served Pasteur well, he also owed much of his success to the polemical virtuosity and political savvy that won him unprecedented financial support from the French state during the late nineteenth century. But a close look at his greatest achievements raises ethical issues. In the case of Pasteur's widely publicized anthrax vaccine, Geison reveals its initial defects and how Pasteur, in order to avoid embarrassment, secretly incorporated a rival colleague's findings to make his version of the vaccine work. Pasteur's premature decision to apply his rabies treatment to his first animal-bite victims raises even deeper questions and must be understood not only in terms of the ethics of human experimentation and scientific method, but also in light of Pasteur's shift from a biological theory of immunity to a chemical theory--similar to ones he had often disparaged when advanced by his competitors.
Through his vivid reconstruction of the professional rivalries as well as the national adulation that surrounded Pasteur, Geison places him in his wider cultural context. In giving Pasteur the close scrutiny his fame and achievements deserve, Geison's book offers compelling reading for anyone interested in the social and ethical dimensions of science.
