He simultaneously serves as Associate Pastor at One Generation Church of Chesapeake, Virginia and several for profit and non-profit organizations as a board member, counselor, development officer and financial adviser.Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Butler was first discipled at St. John the Evangelist Church by the renowned theologian, writer and social activist Reverend Fr. Richard John Neuhaus, founder of the Institute on Religion and Public Life. In 1985, Butler moved to Virginia where he attended the Robertson School of Government at Regent University and worked for the Christian Broadcasting Network.
