Teachers are passionate, hard working, and always have our career and our students front and center as a priority. We devote all our love and mental attention to those that matter to us. But we're also multi dimensional and have such vibrant, full lives outside the classroom. It's time to focus on the lifestyle aspect of a teacher's world. Because there's more to the story. Teachers are also brilliant, creative, and spiritual There are so many facets that come together to make us the kind of people that can rock our jobs, love our students so fiercely, build a household and family, and still have passion left for crafty endeavors, spirituality, design, and relationships.
It's rare for a teacher to ever truly be "off the clock". But on a snow day, teachers get a minute to sit back and actually focus on themselves. We can nurture all the other aspects of our life and fill our souls with what re-energizes us. For some of us, that's a craft or hobby. For some, it's designing a beautiful home environment. For some, it's just a long soak with the bathroom door closed, a glass of chardonnay, and a stack of our favorite magazines.
Of course, even on a snow day, we can't help the fact that our students are still on our hearts and our classrooms and lessons are on our minds. So sure, we'll give you plenty of unique classroom ideas and solutions, but we also want to offer what the professional development-centered publications don't.

It has been quite a journey to start building this for you, and I have never enjoyed any project so much. Every day that I sit down to work on this magazine, I feel so energized by the concept. I hope that each page brings you the same level of joy that I feel when I create it.
