Наличие на складе: Поставка под заказ. Описание: It is well known that cardiovascular events occur more frequently in the morning as blood pressure (BP) levels have been shown to increase during the period from night to early morning. In recent years, clinical research using ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) or home BP monitoring has clarified that morning BP and BP surge are more closely related to the cardiovascular risk than clinical BP. This practical manual from field leading expert, Dr. Kazuomi Kario, reviews recent evidence on morning and nocturnal hypertension and the IT technologies physicians can use to support patients in home monitoring BP. Guidance on management via antihypertensive drugs is also discussed and with the aim of promoting perfect 24 hour BP control .

Описание: One out of three adults have it, and another one-third don't realize it. Oftentimes, it goes undetected for years. Even those who take multiple medications for it still don't have it under control. It's no secret -- high blood pressure is rampant in America. High blood pressure, or hypertension, has become a household term. Between balancing meds and monitoring diets though, are the true causes -- and best treatments -- hidden in the shadows? In How to Lower Blood Pressure Naturally With Essential Oil, Rebecca Park Totilo sheds light on what high blood pressure is, the causes and symptoms of high blood pressure, and which essential oils regulate blood pressure and how to use essential oils as a natural, alternative method. Included within the pages of this book are simple blending techniques, dilution charts, and a wide variety of recipes for everyday use such as the Heart Plus Roll-On Blend and the Love My Heart Massage Oil. Get creative with the basic blend recipes and discover your new favorite "medication." With no side effects and no prescription necessary, essential oils offer a healthy aromatic and therapeutic option for controlling your blood pressure. In this informative book: - Bust the myths of "questionable" oils - Learn simple topical applications and inhalation methods - Blend by "notes" to make super-easy recipes - Explore numerous essential oil profiles and their common uses - Discover the health benefits of carrier oils

Описание: A guide to laboratory diagnosis and treatment of hemostatic disorders. It distils the clinically up-to-date information on thrombotic and bleeding disorders, including the treatment strategies, for key conditions and diseases. It covers both the stable and the acute stages of hereditary and acquired bleeding and thrombotic disorders.
Описание: In this newly updated second edition of Blood Pressure Monitoring in Cardiovascular Medicine and Therapeutics, William B. White, MD, and a panel of highly experienced clinicians critically review every aspect of out-of-office evaluation of blood pressure, including home and ambulatory pressure, the relationship between whole-day blood pressure and the cardiovascular disease process, and the effects of numerous antihypertensive therapies on these blood pressure parameters. The world-class opinion leaders writing here describe the significant advances in our understanding of the circadian pathophysiology of cardiovascular disorders and demonstrate that ambulatory blood pressure values are independent predictors of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality.

Описание: This book covers the basic science and clinical management of a new CV subspecialty. It presents extensive data on the techniques needed to maximize outcomes.
Описание: This new edition is devoted to a broad array of topics involving the circadian variation in cardiovascular diseases, with focuses on hypertension, stroke, and coronary disease. The volume covers clinical and device research related to home and ambulatory BP monitoring, as there have been significant advances in technology since the publication of the previous edition. In addition, there is an increased focus on the applicability of home and ambulatory BP monitoring in drug development in all therapeutic arenas. The text features contributions from chapter authors from around the world and who have great expertise in cardiovascular medicine, therapeutics, clinical trials, and evidence-based medicine.Blood Pressure Monitoring in Cardiovascular Medicine and Therapeutics, Third Edition is essential reading for a large audience, including those practicing cardiology and nephrology with a special focus in hypertension, geriatrics and internal medicine, clinical trialists, regulators in the US, Europe, and Japan, and physicians in training in cardiology, hypertension, pharmacology, nephrology and neurology.

Описание: A. , FADEN, K. KRAFr, and K. O. STUMPE Following the discovery of the pentapeptide enkephalins in 1975, a number of endogenous opioid peptides and opiate receptors have been identified. Endogenous opioids and opiate-receptor mechanisms have been implicated in a variety of regulat- ory and dysregulatory functions including analgesia, cardiovascular regulation, shock, hypertension, traumatic spinal cord and brain injury, stroke, immune func- tion, feeding behavior, diuresis, gastrointestinal motility, and respiratory control, among others. Over the past 10 years, many studies have demonstrated a relationship between endogenous opioids and the cardiovascular system under both homeostatic and pathophysiological conditions. Opioids and opiate receptors have been found in various cardioregulatory sites within the brain and spinal cord, as well as in peripheral tissues such as sympathetic ganglia, adrenal gland, and heart. Both endogenous opioids and exogenous opiates have been shown to produce potent cardiovascular effects following central nervous system or systemic administration. Opiate-receptor antagonists have been demonstrated to reverse hypotension from sepsis, hypo- volemia, and anaphylaxis; such studies have been used to infer activity of endogenous opioid systems in shock. Changes in tissue concentrations of endogenous opioids and or opiate receptors have been found after shock and hypertension, further implying a role for opioid systems in the etiology of these conditions. In addition, modification of opiate receptor regulation, receptor binding, or opioid metabolism has also been used to establish a potential role for endogenous opioid systems in cardiovascular control and dyscontrol.

Описание: In addition to standardized casual blood pressure readings, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) - using automatic noninvasive (= indirect) devices for home readings and fully automated monitors for 24-h profiles - have become a widely used necessary tool in clinical research.

Описание: And further, the wide variety of antihypertensive drugs currently used, often without a full understanding of the mechanisms involved, suggests that we often know as little about what decreases blood pressure with antihypertensive therapy as we know about what increases pressure in the first place.
